Cross Country

The Kent Schools' Cross Country Championship takes place in January each year. Schools can nominate pupils to their district coordinator for possible selection.

There is a strict limit to how many children each district can enter in each category. Nomination by a school, therefore, is not a guarantee that a particular pupil will be entered to run.

Track & Field

The Kent Schools' Track & Field Championship takes place in June each year. Athletes are entered by their school via their district co-ordinator.

Ideally, pupils who are entered should be capable of achieving the District Standard for their age group in their chosen event. The standards are published annually by the English Schools' Athletic Association.

School Holidays

East Kent Coaching holds running training sessions during each school holiday throughout the year.

For the 2024 Easter holiday, we will once again have morning groups in Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate as well as new location, Palm Bay Recreation Ground in Cliftonville.
